Academic Grading Percentages:
40% Classroom Assessments - quizzes, daily work, homework – no more than 5 percent of total grade
45% Summative Assessments - teacher generated unit tests, major assignments, research papers
10% Comprehensive Final Exam - teacher generated assessment or required district generated assessments provided by the Assessment Office
5% Interim Assessments

Promotion Criteria:
For promotion to 8th grade – Students must achieve a passing score on each of the following:
- CRCT Reading
- CRCT Language Arts
- CRCT Math
- CRCT Science
- CRCT Social Studies
Behavioral Expectations:
By implementing specific expectations and specific consequences, I hope to help each student develop a sense of responsibility for his or her actions, belongings, and academic requirements. I expect my students to do the following:
· Be respectful and considerate of the learning environment at all times.
· Come prepared for class with all needed materials and use class time wisely.
· Change class in a calm, quiet manner.
· Leave all gum and candy at home.
· Respect school and personal property.
· Respect the rights and feelings of your teachers and fellow students.
School's Late Work Policy:
Maximum deductions allowed for late work:
· On the first late day, 10% will be deducted.
· On the second late day, 20% will be deducted.
· On the third day, 30% will be deducted.
· After the third day - intervention plan implemented.
